ABOUT ME! (relevant to wedding photography of course.)
Weddings are crazy. I have not been the groom in one yet (pending the discovery of Ms. Perfect or close to perfect anyway) but I've sure been to a lot professionally and otherwise. I started photographing weddings in high school and have since graduated from University of the Arts class of 09 with a BFA of Photo. So I suppose that makes it official. If you are reading this and looking for a wedding photographer I recommend two major things (besides me and of course pricing ;) )
MY TWO RECOMMENDATIONS
This person, besides your new found spouse is going to spend a significant amount of time near you on the big day that you've always dreamed about. They better not smell unbearable or be completely irritating. I like to think I have good sense of humor and for the most part fade away to the background and just let your day happen. For me it is about capturing those crazy, beautiful, and candid moments that make me love my job. The only time you'll hopefully really notice me is when it is time to do the formals. Then I become a marine drill sergeant commanding order from the chaos of two families trying to get formal pictures out of the way so they can hurriedly fill their growling bellies with marvelous delicacies on silver platters held by polite white gloved professional wait staff.
Overall I like to just let the day happen with the least interruption from me as possible. This results in the natural photos we all love and takes the pressure off you constantly worrying about how your smile is looking for the camera.
